Mo Ghile Mear (SATTBB) arr. Desmond Earley $2.75
Written by the 18th century poet Seán Clárach Mac Dómhnaill, Mo Ghile Mear is a traditional Irish allegorical song in which the poet laments the departure of Prince Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie). This arrangement features the Irish single-headed frame drum, the bodhrán, but an alternative hand-played frame drum may be used as a substitute.
This arrangement for tenor solo and SATTBB choir features on the debut album recorded by the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin. 'Invisible Stars' is an enchanting and ground-breaking collection of traditional and Celtic-inspired Irish choral music. (Purchase CD)
