Composer's note: 'I wrote Ireland when I was still living in London and I’d been residing abroad for six years at that stage. When I was growing up, I honestly couldn’t wait to get out of Ireland and see the world. ...... I realised that actually, city life isn’t really me! I missed Ireland so much – the people, the culture, the community, the scenery… And I wrote this song about falling in love with Ireland once I had left.'
