Toccata - Girolamo Frescobaldi

Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1643) was one of the most important organ and harpsichord players of his time. Of his compositions, the organ toccatas stand out, of which he wrote no less than three collections. The 'Toccata' presented here was for many years attributed to Girolamo Frescobaldi. It was not until the late 20th century that its authorship was doubted.

Italian arranger Gottfried Veit has transcribed this famous 'Toccata' for a large Brass Ensemble.
